Hack #2: What You Can Manage With the Substack App
π‘5-MINUTE DIGITAL HACKS: 30 Substack Hacks 2025
Hi there,
Todayβs format is audio. I am adding the text under the audio because I realized I have become very rusty when speaking English. Sorry about that!
On the Substack app, you can manage some aspects of your newsletter, but its functionality is more limited compared to the website. Here's what you can do on the app:
β
What You Can Manage on the Substack App
Write and Publish: Create and send new posts.
Engage with Subscribers: Read and respond to comments.
Track Basic Stats: View subscriber counts and basic post performance.
Send Notes & Chat: Interact with your audience through Substack Notes and the Chat feature.
Read & Subscribe: Follow and read other newsletters.
β What You Can't Fully Manage on the App
Customize Your Branding: No access to advanced design settings.
Manage Monetization: Limited control over paid subscriptions.
Deep Analytics: No access to detailed performance insights.
Advanced Email Settings: Can't configure automation or mailing list details.
Domain & Website Settings: No access to domain setup or custom pages.
The app is great for on-the-go publishing and engagement, but you should use the website if you need full control over your Substack (branding, monetization, analytics).
Ask questions, and drop them below. Iβll answer every single one!

I am thrilled that you are joining me on this ride.

I'm not sure where I saw this but I'll ask you here...is it better to simply restack without a comment or with a comment or to do both?
